GHMC to install 74 artificial pools for Ganesh immersion in Hyderabad

The State is installing artificial pools and ponds across the city for the immersion of Ganesh idols.

HYDERABAD: The State is installing artificial pools and ponds across the city for the immersion of Ganesh idols.

In 2022, 74 pools are being prepared for immersion. Some of these pools are permanent while some of them are being specifically made for the Ganesh celebrations. Reportedly, the permanent immersion pools were earlier constructed by GHMC in 28 areas and are now ready for use.

During this year, 24 new prefabricated fiber reinforced plastic (SRP) portable artificial pools were made with 1.35-m to 150-m depth and a length of 30x10 ft.
