HYDERABAD: Given the heavy volume of traffic at Road No. 45 Junction and the roads surrounding Jubilee Hills, which is causing congestion, the Hyderabad traffic police have implemented traffic diversions for a week as a trial from November 25, 2022, onward.

Traffic heading to the Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge from Jubilee Hills checkpost should stay on Road No. 36 and take one of the following routes

  • Turn left at Metro Pillar No. 1650 (after Creamstone)Road No. 54 Jubilee Hills - Road No. 45 (Under Cable Bridge Flyover) after the Heart Cup and take the first right towards the Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge.
  • At Croma, turn left onto Road No. 39 Jubilee Hills, then turn left onto Magnolia Bakery Road No. 45, then turn right onto Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge.

Traffic travelling from Jubilee Hills checkpoint to the Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge will not be permitted to turn right at Road No. 45 Junction or Journalist Colony Junction

  • Traffic coming from under the Cable Bridge, i.e., from the Inorbit mall side, and intending to go to the Jubilee Hills check point: will not be allowed until the Road No. 45 Junction and must take a left turn at Road No. 54 (Heart Cup) and a U Turn at Freedom Park Metro Pillar No. 1663 on Road No. 36 before proceeding to the Jubilee Hills check point.
  • Traffic coming from the Cable Bridge and intending to go to BNR Hills, Khajaguda/ Film Nagar Junction should make a U-turn at Heart Cup and at Geeta Arts / Broadway take a left to road no. 51 and proceed towards Pakshi Circle, then to NyayaVihar, then to Bata, and finally to Film Nagar Junction.
  • Traffic heading to Jubilee Hills from Road No. 12 Banjara Hills is advised to turn right at Orissa Island/KalingaBhavan/Agrasen Junction and proceed to Jubilee Hills check post via Cancer Hospital and KBR Park Junction, avoiding Road No. 45 junction.
  • Traffic coming from Film Nagar/CVR News Junction and intending to go to Jubilee Hills Check Post:sidewill not be permitted to proceed to Jubilee Hills Check Post; instead, they should take a left turn at the Road No. 45 junction, proceed up to Heart Cup, take a U turn under the Cable Bridge, and proceed to Jubilee Hills Check Post.
  • Traffic coming from Road No. 12 Banjara Hills - Film Nagar junction and intending to go to Road No. 45 Junction: will not be allowed straight at Film Nagar junction and must instead take a left turn at Film Nagar Junction towards Film Nagar Road - Take a U turn at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and take a left at Film Nagar/CVR News Junction towards Journalist Colony/Road No. 45 Junction.
  • Traffic coming from Film Nagar and intending to proceed to Road No. 12 Banjara Hills/Omega Hospital side will be denied the right turn at Film Nagar Junction. Instead, they should take the following route: Film Nagar Road - CVR News Junction - Journalist colony U turn - Film Nagar Junction - Road No. 12 Banjara Hills

According to Hyderabad police, this is a week-long trial run with the goal of decongesting the Fil Nagar Junction - Road No. 45 Junction - Jubilee Hills Check Post corridor by using parallel roads. The Hyderabad traffic police have asked commuters to help them have a successful trail run and have apologised for the inconvenience.
