HYDERABAD: The management of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has introduced several unique and innovative packages to make the corporation's services more accessible and affordable for the passengers. Senior IPS officer V C Sajjanar, ever since he assumed charge as the Managing Director of the TSRTC, has implemented several schemes to increase the revenue for the corporation.

The management has already introduced a darshan token in advance for devotees who travel to Tirupati in TSRTC. The corporation has also tied up with companies to facilitate door delivery of parcels in Hyderabad as part of the TSRTC Parcel Service.

Another innovative package called 'Hyderabad Darshan' was recently introduced by the TSRTC. According to the package, any individuals or families can cover the famous tourist destinations in the city in a single day by using the corporation's bus network. The tickets for adults on Metro express buses will cost Rs 250 while it will be Rs 150 for children. Similarly, the package ticket in Metro Luxury buses will cost Rs 500 for adults and Rs 375 for children. As a launch-time incentive, the corporation is also offering a 10 percent discount on this package.

The buses, under the Hyderabad Darshan Package, will start at 8:30 am from Alpha Hotel, located in Secunderabad. The passengers will be taken to Birla Mandir between 9:30 and 10 am before leaving for Chaumahalla Palace at 10:30 am. The bus will reach Taramati Baradari Resort for lunch at 1 pm. The expenses of lunch are not included in the package and hence should be borne by the tourists themselves.

After lunch, the next destination will be Golconda Fort which the buses are scheduled to reach by 2pm, followed by the Durgam Cheruvu Park at 4 pm and the cable bridge at 5:30 pm. The bus will reach NTR Park and Hussainsagar lake at 6:30 pm. The passengers will be finally dropped off at Alpha Hotel by 8 pm.

The package will be useful for those who come to Hyderabad by trains and hence the buses will start from Alpha hotels, according to the corporation. In view of the Dussehra holidays, the package is available from Tuesday (27th September).
