HYDERABAD: The case pertaining to the conspiracy to create carnage through explosions in Hyderabad during the Dusshera celebrations is likely to be transferred to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

Hinting at this possibility, Hyderabad Commissioner of Police CV Anand on Thursday said that the case could be transferred as it involved national security in it. The Hyderabad police foiled the plot by arresting three self-motivated terrorists on December 2.

The three accused, along with 10 other accomplices, had plotted to carry out blasts in the city on Dussehra.

The three accused were identified as Abdul Jahed (39), Mohammad Samiuddin (39) and Maz Hasan Farooq (29). A major threat was averted as the police were able to foil the conspiracy in time, based on intelligence inputs.
