HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Friday paid his last respects to veteran actor Kaikala Satyanarayana at his residence in Banjara Hills. The Chief Minister consoled the bereaved family members.

Speaking to the media, KCR recalled his association with the senior actor. "Satyanarayana is a person who could play any role with ease and earn a great reputation. I also happened to work with him in politics for a while. I have wonderful memories of the time I spent with him. It is sad to lose a versatile actor like Kaikala."

The Chief Minister was accompanied by Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, several other MLAs and MLCs. Earlier in the day, KCR ordered a state funeral for the departed actor. Satyanarayana's last rites will be performed at Mahaprasthanam in Jubilee Hills on Saturday.
