KTR, while inspecting the development works at the Neopolis layout said that the layout had great potential
HYDERABAD: Telangana's Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Minister KT Rama Rao, while inspecting the development works at the Neopolis layout on Saturday, said that the layout had great potential and could be built with international standards.
The futuristic city, being developed by Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), was a greenfield project. The extent of the layout, including the vertical extent, was expected to be as big as Warangal.
KTR suggested that a few modifications could be made in the plans for road networks, recreation facilities and cycle tracks. Future needs, environment protection, safety, comfort of people, were considered while suggesting the modifications. A common thread in all of his suggestions was his insistence on maintaining international standards.
While talking to the teams here, he said a park could be developed there on the lines of Central Park in New York, USA. It would serve as a recreational space for children and others. A cycle track-connecting Gandipet lake could be built as an International event and tourist destination.
KTR said that perfect planning would lead to beautiful value addition to the city. He also enquired connection from the layout to the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP).
