HYDERABAD: Telangana Minister for Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Friday slammed Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for the objectionable language used at Mozamjahi Market here. The minister reacted to the incident while briefing the media about Ganesh immersions, which he said, were going on peacefully.

"We strongly condemn such language," said Thalasani. He said that the stage near the Mozamjahi market, which was used by the Assam Chief Minister, was set up by the government for the Ganesh immersion festivities.

The Minister also said that it was not proper for a person holding a constitutional office to talk in this manner. He claimed that the Telangana government had made all arrangements for the smooth conduct of Ganesh immersions in the city on Friday.

He also castigated Telangana Governor for her frequent utterances against the state government and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. "It is not right for a person in a nominated post to level accusations against an elected government. Ironically, they are blaming the government which has made all the arrangements on a large scale for the nine days of festivities. It is irresponsible for a person in the position of Chief Minister (Hemanth Biswa Sarma) to talk like that," said the Minister.
