New Year 2023: Rs 410 crore revenue generated through alcohol in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: New Year 2023 celebrations across the City generated Rs 410 crores revenue through alcohol in just 24 hours.

The report said that 76,038 cartons of hard liquor and 33,985 cartons of liquor were sold in whole sale in Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Medchal districts from December 30 and 31.

The report, which came out on Monday, said that an estimated total of 4.07 lakh beer bottles and 4.56 lakh full liquor bottles were consumed on January 1 2023. A ballpark estimate of Rs 82 crore worth of liquor was sold in the retail market.

Maximum liquor was sold in Ranga Reddy district with Rs 43.21 crore revenue generated. In Hyderabad, Rs 27.44 crore and in Medchal Rs 11.42 crore revenue was generated through alcohol.
