HYDERABAD: Amidst all rumours going around the death of Uma Maheshwari, daughter of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) founder Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), the Nandamuri family is dealing with the death of a third family member.

Umamaheswari passed away by suicide on August 1 and her last rites were performed on August 3, after her daughter who recently got married, arrived from the US.

While NTR had eight sons and four daughters, one son, Ramakrishna, had passed away when he was 10 years old in 1962, after which NTR named his eighth son after him.

Another son Sai Krishna also succumbed to a disease in 2004 a few years after NTR's demise.

His fourth son, Nandamuri Harikrishna died in a road accident in August 29, 2018. His eldest son Janakiram also died in a road accident a few years before Harikrishna died.

NTR's family is now devastated with the death of their beloved Uma Maheshwari.

Reportedly, she was NTR's favourtite child and stayed with him between her two marriages.

Uma stayed at NTR's house for some years because of the failure of her first marriage with one Naren Rajan. She was latter married to Kanthamaneni Srinivas a Prasad. They have two daughters who got married and settled down.

Later Uma Maheshwari returned from the US along with her husband and took up a bakery business.

She felt lonely after her daughters were married off.

As her husband was always busy with business and went out for meetings, she had to spend time alone at home. She also stopped going to the bakery.
