Can Vikram break Baahubali 2's record?

Universal Hero Kamal Haasan's latest film Vikram is having a dream run at the box office. Exceeding all expectations, this film turned out to be a massive blockbuster in Tamil Cinema. Now, it may break the record of Baahubali 2 and become the highest earner in Tamil Nadu.

As of now, Baahubali 2 is the biggest earner in Tamil cinema with a lifetime collection of Rs. 155 crores in Tamil Nadu. Thalapathy Vijay's Bigil is in second place with earnings of Rs. 141 crores.

After its weekend run, Vikram collected over Rs. 130 crores in Tamil Nadu. The trade pundits are expecting it to cross Bigil by this Wednesday. Later, it will continue its hunt to break Baahubali's record.

We all know that Tamil folks are very sentimental about their language. They all want a straight Tamil film to be the highest earner in Tamil Nadu. Five years after Baahubali 2, they found Vikram as a potential film to break the former's record.

As there is no notable Tamil release in the coming days, Vikram may have a good run for a couple of weeks more. Thus, it has a good chance to break Baahubali 2's record, opined the trade experts.
