HYDERABAD: Reflecting the proactive approach towards customer facilitation, the Secunderabad division of the South Central Railways (SCR) has developed an additional line for facilitating freight loading at Manikgarh new goods shed, in a record time within 30 days of receiving the proposal. The shed has generated Rs. 60 crores of freight revenue in a month from iron ore loading.

The goods shed, situated 2.15 km from the Manikgarh station, was opened for traffic on March 3, 2023. With the successful marketing of the Business Development Unit (BDU) of the Secunderabad Division, a new commodity, Iron Ore is being loaded from the goods shed. The BDU team has been continuously interacting with the freight customers in the region, exploring the possibility of increasing loading from the new shed.
