HYDERABAD: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Chief Revanth Reddy made interesting remarks at a meeting of the North America Telugu Association (TANA). He claimed that the Polavaram Project and the construction of capital Amaravati, in Andhra Pradesh, were initiatives of the Congress party. He clarified that completing both of these was the aim of the Congress.

On this occasion, NRIs asked some intriguing questions about a Dalit being named as the Chief Minister of Telangana and if the post of Deputy Chief minister would be given to Seethakka if the Congress came to power.

Revanth responded that it was not traditional for the Congress to announce the Chief Ministerial candidate before the elections.

"If needed, Seethakka could also become the party's Chief Minister,:" Revanth said.

He expressed his desire to do anything for the people and requested for an opportunity to be voted into power in the upcoming elections. He stated that it would be incorrect to view the party and him separately, and declared that in Telangana, Revanth Reddy was Congress and Congress was Revanth Reddy.
