HYDERABAD: In some good news for Telangana Governmeent employees, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has announced that their pay scale will be increased tremendously that will "surprise the nation".

Speaking at the Assembly session on Sunday, KCR said that the employees were also his children and he would take good care of them. He said that government would soon appoint a Pay Revision Commission to enhance salaries in an attractive manner.

"Telangana employees are the highest paid workers in the country. I promised during the Telangana movement that we will pay them more than Central Government employees. We kept our word. No party including the Congress have done this," KCR said.

"If we have given 30 per cent hike to Pay Revision Comission (PRC) employees, we have also increased the salaries of outsourcing employees by 30 per cent. This is the first such increase in the history of India. We have also increased the number of outsourcing employees working in the Legislative Assembly. We called the Unions and talked. We will appoint a fresh PRC in a short span of time.

"We will give that pay scale to employees that will shock the nation. Salaries will be increased tremendously. If the State is rich, they should also be rich. We have already increased their salaries by 70 per cent so far," KCR announced.

The Chief Minister also promised that workers in Singareni Colleries would soon get a bonus of Rs 1000 crore as Dussehra and Diwali bonus.
