NEW DELHI: YCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy claimed on Thursday that there was audio-video evidence to support allegations that present Telangana Chief Minister and TPCC President A Revanth Reddy and former Chief Minister and TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu had conversations regarding a bribe of Rs 50 crore to secure the vote of a nominated MLA in an MLC election.

Speaking to media persons after the Supreme Court postponed the hearing in the Cash for Vote case to July 24, he alleged that there was audio-video evidence demonstrating conversations between Revanth Reddy and Chandrababu Naidu regarding the purchase of a vote from the nominated MLA for Rs 5 crore to win the MLC election. Of this, Rs 50 lakh cash was paid in advance by Revanth Reddy, which was caught on camera, leading to the registration of the case.

Ramakrishna Reddy approached the Supreme Court seeking an expedited hearing in the case, which was pending for the last seven years. After hearing a petition filed by Ramakrishna Reddy, the Supreme Court postponed the hearing to July 24, indicating that further adjournments would not be granted, given the case's prolonged duration. Despite requests from the lawyers of Chandrababu Naidu and Revanth Reddy to postpone the matter until after the summer vacation, the Supreme Court rejected their plea.

He alleged that despite the evidence available, Chandrababu Naidu had been attempting to manipulate the system to evade a fair trial. However, the Supreme Court had clarified that the case would be heard on July 24 without further delays.

Ramakrishna Reddy expressed confidence that Chandrababu Naidu would be punished in this case in the coming days.
