HYDERABAD: As many as three post-graduate medical students from Osmania Hospital, who were stranded in Himachal Pradesh’s Manali due to flash floods, were rescued by officials on Tuesday evening.

Recently, B Kamal Lal, Rohit Suri and Srinivas completed their post graduate course and went on a tour to Himachal Pradesh. The doctors’ family members expressed concern as the mobile phones of their kin were switched off since Sunday. Upon receiving information, Telangana Doctors Association had approached the Telangana Resident Commissioner's Office in New Delhi and enquired about the missing doctors.

Meanwhile, Telangana Health Minister T Harish Rao, who was in New Delhi, also enquired about the status of missing medicos. In return, the authorities informed the minister that the three medicos were rescued. Harish Rao asked the officials concerned to take all necessary measures to shift the doctors to Hyderabad at the earliest.
