HYDERABAD: MPs of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAM) protested in parliament on Thursday, demanding a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the Adani Group crisis.

Members of both parties caused commotion and staged a walkout from both the Houses of Parliament pressing for the constitution of a JPC. During the protest at the Gandhi statue on the premises of the Parliament, MPs of the BRS and AAM parties brandished placards and shouted slogans.

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge raised the issue of expunging some of his remarks made during his speech on the Motion of Thanks on the President’s address to the joint sitting of the Parliament.

Kharge said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi always diverts attention away from issues and that he asked many questions about Adani but did not receive a single answer. Kharge said that the Congress party would fight for the country's people's rights.
