HYDERABAD: Telangana Municipal Administration and Urban Development minister on Wednesday said that the Congress sent a second danger signal to farmers of Telangana by giving a hint that it would reduce the 24-hour free power supply to three hours.

He said it was testing time for the farmers to decide on whom they should support.

Taking to Twitter, KTR said that the Congress party, which recently promised that they would scrap Dharani portal, was now conspiring to lift the free power supply. He said that the grand old party had failed to implement a seven-hour free power supply in the past and was now belittling the marginalized farmers by saying that three hours of power supply was enough for them.

The BRS working president termed Revanth Reddy as “chota Chandrababu Naidu” for his anti-farmer comments and felt that farmers would have to face difficulties if such people came to power.

Chandrababu had said that agriculture was useless (vyavasayam dandaga) and now ‘chota Chandrababu’ was saying that ‘three times a day’ (meaning all-day free power supply) was uselss.

It’s an insult to ask why should a three-acre farmer be given all-day power supply.

The Congress has always looked down upon marginal farmers and meets out step-motherly treatment to small farmers.

“If vultures, who only wanted ‘notes’ (currency), but never cared for the woes of farmers, are trusted, the farmers would be forced to bite the dust,” he pointed out.

The Congress which refused to give seven-hour power supply to the farmers, was conspiring to avoid three-hour power supply to them.”

Alerting that small and marginal farmers would have to install ‘Bahubali motors’ if they had to irrigate three acres in three hours.

“If those with their brains in their feet are trusted, farmers’ lives would be in a disarray,” quipped KTR.

If the the three-hour power supply idea was repeated, the ‘vulture’ would surely get the right treatment at the hands of the farmers.

He asked whether farmers wanted the Chief Minister KCR with a kind heart or a deceptive vulture.

KTR also said KCR’s policy was three crops (muudu pantalu), the Congress party’s policy was three hours (muudu gantalu).

Jibing at the BJP as well, KTR said that it’s policy was to flare up tempers by dividing the society on religious lines.

He asked them to choose between three crops or three hours (of power supply) of religious flare up.

“This is the crucial time when Telangana farmer has to make a choice,” he observed.
