ADILABAD: Home Minister Amit Shah launched the Bharatiya Janata Party’s election campaign from Adilabad on Tuesday by lashing out at Chief Minister and the BRS Chief K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR).

Addressing the ‘Adilabad Praja Garjana’ public meeting, he criticised KCR for caring about his family members and neglecting the poor and unemployed of Telangana. “For ten years KCR had a single agenda on how to make his son KTR as next Chief Minister, whereas in ten years Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced many programs for Dalit and Tribals,” Amit Shah said.

The Union Home Minister said that the Telangana Government would celebrate Hyderabad Liberation Day as an official function in every district after coming to power in the State on December 3.

“During the last visit, you gave love to Modi. It is now time for Telangana to have a double-engine Government,” he said. He reminded the people that the Prime Minister declared a tribal university in the name of tribal deities Sammakka Sarakka, National Turmeric Board, and KWDT-II to sort out the water woes of Telangana.

“The BJP at the Centre is depositing Rs 6,000 in every farmers’ account every year. Modi gave cooking gas to every poor woman, and for nine years there has been no corruption in the BJP Government,” he said.

Coming heavily on Congress, Amit Shah said that the UPA Government during 2013-14 allocated a paltry Rs 24,000 crore for tribal welfare but the BJP which came to power after that, allocated Rs 1,24,000 crore. “Congress talks about the poor but they do nothing about them,” Shah said adding that Congress resorted to corruption to the tune of Rs 14 lakh crore.

Modi made an Odisha-born tribal woman President of India. He gave cooking gas to every poor woman, Shah said. “Modi Government abrogated Article 370 and freed Kashmir. The Modi Government is building ‘Ram Mandir’ by overcoming obstacles,” he declared.

He said that KCR made tall promises but fell short of implementing them. “KCR promised double-bedroom houses for Adivasis. Did he give? He promised an airstrip for Adilabad, promised three acres of land to Dalits but failed to do so, he didn’t even implement a 33 percent reservation for women,” he said.

Whereas Modi gave reservations for women, toilets in every home, housing for the poor and gas cylinders under the Ujjwala scheme, Amit Shah said enlisting the various schemes implemented by the Centre.

Only the BJP can deal with today’s Razakars

Calling upon people to vote for BJP to bring a people-run Government, he said that if they voted for the BRS they would be governed by the Majlis party. “The steering wheel of the BRS is in the hands of Owaisi. But only the BJP knows how to deal with present days Razakars,” he said.

“BRS, Congress and AIMIM will subvert your mandate. Vote for BJP which is building Ram Mandir successfully completed the surgical strike in POK, earned world fame with ‘Chandrayan’ and organising G20,” Amit Shah said. He said that the Modi Government provided 130 shots of the vaccine free of cost to save the lives of the entire nation.

Questioning Chief Minister KCR in which sectors he made Telangana number one in the country, the Home Minister said Telangana today stood as number one in farmers’ suicides. “Telangana is number one in child and women abuse in the country, top in corruption, “ Shah said.
