ZAHEERABAD: Former Minister and senior BRS leader T Harish Rao reviewed preparations for the public meeting to be addressed by BRS chief K Chandrasekar Rao (KCR) on April 16 in Sangareddy. KCR already addressed two successful public meetings at Karimnagar and Chevella.

Harish Rao held a meeting with the BRS leaders from Medak and Zaheerabad Parliamentary Constituencies here on Sunday and called upon the cadre to attend in big numbers in support of party candidates Venkatrami Reddy (Medak) and Gali Anil Kumar (Zaheerabad).

“People are up against the ten-year rule of the BJP at the national level and four months of Congress rule in the State. They realised the difference between KCR and Revanth Reddy,” he said. He pointed out that people were determined to defeat the Congress and cheated the people of Telangana by giving false promises.

Elaborating on the spiraling inflation in the country during the Narendra Modi regime, Harish Rao said fuel and LPG prices skyrocketed under the BJP rule. “Modi promised 20 crore jobs in ten years but he couldn’t give more than 6 lakh jobs. The Revanth Reddy Government in the State on the other hand scrapped more schemes than implemented new ones,” Harish Rao noted.

He accused the Congress Government of cheating farmers on all fronts. “The paddy farmers are forced to sell paddy at Rs 1700 per quintal. There is no Rs 500 bonus, no Rytu Bharosa, no crop loan waiver, and no irrigation,” he said.

He said that a vote for BRS would strengthen its hands to fight for the people of Telangana at the Delhi and State levels.
