JAGITYAL: An ardent liquor fan approached the Jagityal district collectorate, complaining that their favourite liquor brand, Kingfisher beer, is not sold in Telangana's Jagityal district.

Beeram Rajesh, a native of Jagityal district, not only approached the district collectorate and submitted a petition, but he also discussed the problem on Prajavani, a public radio show that was aired in his village.

Rajesh further alleged that residents in the district are suffering from health problems as a result of the consumption of cheap liquor. He and his friends also questioned why they should settle for cheap liquor.

A similar incident is said to have occurred in Jagityal in 2018. Ayla Suryanarayana, a native, also complained about the lack of Kingfisher brand beer in their district. He also complained to the district collector and the Prajavani program as well.

He alleged that they were misleading people by banning the sale of Kingfisher beer in Jagityal and instead selling local brewers. He questioned why Jagityal is in such a bad state when King Fisher beer was readily available in the neighbouring district of Karimnagar.
