BRS, BJP nominating candidates with money, not Congress: Revanth Reddy

Revanth asked, "Modi is saying that he will nominate a Chief Minister from the Backward Caste (BC) in Telangana. He should ensure that he does that first in his home State of Gujarat."

UTNOOR: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Revanth Reddy has said that the allegations of him nominating rich candidates was wrong and it is infact the BRS and the BJP which are giving tickets to those who have crores.

Speaking at a public rally in Utnoor on Wednesday, Revanth said, "Can't you see that the Congress has given ticket to Vedma Bojju Patel (Khanapur candidate) even though he has no money? In fact it is the BJP and the BRS which has gave tickets to those who have crores. Congress has given ticket to Vedma who has the support of voters."

Alleging that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) indulged in corruption through Kaleshwaram project, Revanth said, "The Pranahita-Chevella project became a victim due to KCR's thirst for money. It was the Congress which built the Kadem project."

Saying that the BRS had neglected tribals, Revanth said, "No one respects Dalits and tribals as much as the Congress. When it was in power here, it gave Podu land pattas. But this Government brought Dharani portal and grabbed your land. That is why we want to scrap it. This Government is full of non-tribals. When the Congress comes to power, we will adopt and develop undivided Adilabad. We will register tribal lands in the names of poor and give loans."

Challenging KCR to prove that he provides 24-hour power supply, Revanth said, "We won't file our nomination if KCR proves that he provides 24-hours of power. When Congress comes to power, we will implement our six guarantees. There is no town without a Hanuman temple and Indiramma Illu. People have decided to throw KCR out."

Targetting Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his speech in Hyderabad a day earlier, Revanth asked, "Modi is saying that he will nominate a Chief Minister from the Backward Caste (BC) in Telangana. He should ensure that he does that first in his home State of Gujarat. If the Congress is in power in four states, three of it has a BC Chief Minister. But the BJP, which is in power in 10 states, has only one BC Chief Minister. The BJP will not get deposits in 100 seats in Telangana."
