BRS trumps Congress in battle of wits on social media over poor infrastructure in Medaram Jathara

HYDERABAD: The 'X' (formerly twitter) handles of the BRS and the Congress engaged in a war of words on social media for the entire day on Saturday, leaving social media users amused. It all started with the BRS sharing a post where devotees could be heard chanting "CM down down" slogans when Chief Minister Revanth Reddy attended the Medaram Jathara on Friday. The devotees were temporarily stopped by the police on Friday from entering the shrine due to VIP visits, irking the devotees.

Reacting to this, the Congress party's official handle on the social media platform responded-"What do you know apart from whining and editing videos? We wish that Sammakka-Sarakka Goddesses grant you the wisdom to love Telangana."

The BRS then responded to the post and wrote, "Okay, here's an unedited video for you" and posted a video of a woman arguing with the police and abusing the Chief Minister for stopping her from visiting the shrine because of the Chief Minister's visit to the jathara.

The post won the appreciation of social media users who applauded the party by posting creative memes.
