HYDERABAD: Telangana Minister and BRS Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) stated on Tuesday that there was a pro-incumbency wave in the state and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) would once again form the government by winning 95 of the 119 seats in the upcoming Assembly elections. In an interview to TV9 Managing Editor Rajinikanth, KTR asserted that KCR would emerge as the hat-trick Chief Minister of Telangana.

Challenging both the BJP and the Congress, he said, "If there is any other state which can showcase development like Telangana did in the last 10 years, I will resign from politics.”

Responding to the comments made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi against MLC Kavitha earlier in the day in Bhopal, the minister said, "If our names are popping up even in Madhya Pradesh, it is a sign of our dominance.”

Speaking at a public meeting earlier in the day, the Prime Minister stated, "If you want the welfare of K Chandrashekar Rao's daughter, then vote for BRS. If you want development of the Gandhi family, then vote for the Congress. But if people want the welfare of your sons and daughters and grandchildren, then vote for BJP.”

Sharply retorting to the above comment, KTR said, “If you want to ensure Adani’s progress, then vote for BJP.”

Questioning why the BJP has not delivered on its promises, KTR asked, “They promised to double our income, did they? They promised to bring back black money, did they? Can’t we say that Modi is the benami of Adani?

“The only language they know is how to suppress the opposition with ED and CBI raids,” he added.

KTR did not spare the Congress either and questioned if both BJP and Congress were in cahoots with each other.

”Why are the Congress leaders in Telangana not cursing Modi? Why are they no raids against Congress leaders here? Revanth Reddy, in particular, termed it as ‘Scamgress’. Why is there no inquiry against Congress MLAs here? Why have the inquiries against Rahul and Sonia Gandhi in the National Herald Case stopped?,” he asked the BJP.

Echoing the statement made by KCR in Maharashtra on Tuesday, KTR also strongly denied the opposition accusations that the BRS was subservient to the BJP. He emphatically stated that the BRS was an independent political party and neither an A team nor a B team of any party.

He alleged that both the Congress and the BJP were responsible for all the miseries of the country in the 75 years of its Independence. Because of their negligence, the county was still facing difficulties in providing basic amenities to the people. KTR said that the BRS was not in a pathetic state to play second fiddle to such political parties.

The minister denied any association with the Congress and BJP, saying, "Everyone attacks us saying that we are A and B teams of the Congress and BJP parties, but I strongly believe that the BJP has a secret alliance with the Congress Party. I believe both parties have a tacit understanding."

KTR also countered the BJP by raking up the issue of the Narendra Modi government benefitting Gautham Adani’s group in multiple sectors. "Why isn't Prime Minister Narendra Modi questioned about his backing to Gautam Adani? He pledged to double farmers' income. I'm not sure if Adani is a farmer but I see only him growing rich in this country. Gautam Adani is the only person who became wealthier under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership but no one challenges him about it?" KTR wondered.

He said, "The Congress ruled for nearly 60 years and the BJP ruled for15 years but neither of them has done anything significant for the country. Why can't these age-old parties get drinking water for every household? Why can't schemes like Kalyana Laxmi, Shaadi Mubarak and Rythu Bandhu be introduced? Why is Hyderabad developing so rapidly only in the last nine years? 'Intergraph' was Hyderabad's first IT company, founded in 1987. I have seen tremendous development in the last nine years under the leadership of Telangana Chief Minister KCR that no other party has achieved in the last 60 years," he said.

KTR said that the Telangana model, implemented by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, had made such phenomenal growth possible as the BRS government followed the Samagra (holistic), Samikrutha (integrated), Sammilitha (inclusive) and Samatuyla (balanced) methods aimed at state development. “No other state in the country has witnessed more development in the last nine years like Telangana did and the people of Telangana will vote for BRS again, and the Chief Minister will complete a hat-trick, as we follow a balanced approach to state development," he added.

"A balanced approach means focusing not only on cities but also on other districts and villages. Initially, only Hyderabad had IT companies, but now we have IT companies in Warangal, Karimnagar, Siddipet, and other districts. Hence, no other party could accomplish what the Telangana government did," said the minister.
