HYDERABAD: Chandanvelly Industrial Park, the largest industrial park proposed by the Telangana Government, would be set up on 1,569 acres, covering Chandanvelly, Hythabad and Manchanpally villages of the Ranga Reddy district. Investments to the tune of over Rs 18,000 crore have poured in from various global giants.

A project layout was released, in which various companies, which have announced their plans of setting up industries, were allotted lands in the massive industrial park.

The biggest investment of Rs 5,821 crore by Amazon, who proposed to build a Data Centre in the park, were allotted 33.9 acres with a built up area of 66,003 sq.m.

Welspun Group, which plans on setting up a flooring solutions and advanced textile manufacturing facility with an investment of Rs 2,000 crore was given land in three divisions.

Ester Filmtech announced that it would set up an advanced polyester film manufacturing facility with an investment of Rs 1,350 Crore in Chandanvelly.

Microsoft, which was planning to develop a Data Centre, would be spread across an area of 52.47 acres with a built-up area of 51,874 Sq.m. The Project cost is estimated as Rs 4,959 crore for which the construction work also began.

Kundana Techno Tex, which announced that it would invest Rs 200 Crore to set up its PET recycling unit, was allotted 36 acres.

Ashirvad Pipes by Aliaxis will set up a Greenfield facility with an investment of Rs 500 crore to manufacture storage and distribution of plastic piles, fittings and accessories. Construction work for the industry began on 25 acres.

Astral Poly Technik Limited, investing Rs 153 crore, also started the construction of its unit.

CtrlS, setting up a Data Centre with Rs 650 crore, was allotted 40 acres.

Bharti Airtel Group's data centre arm, Nxtra Data Centres has announced that it will set up a large Hyperscale Data Centre in Hyderabad with an investment of Rs 2,000 crore, for which it was given 40.7 acres.

Many other small and medium scale industries were also allotted land and the park’s development work has started in full swing.
