HYDERABAD: Congress MP Manickam Tagore has initiated legal proceedings against TRS leader KTR by serving defamation notices following a heated exchange of words. The dispute, triggered by KTR's comments on January 28, prompted Tagore to publicise the matter on social media and to issue legal notices.

Tagore gave KTR a seven-day ultimatum to respond and threatened to escalate the matter to court if no resolution was reached. The controversy also involved prominent leaders like Congress leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, who made clear statements regarding the issue.

In response to Manickam Tagore's comments on 'X,' KTR clarified that the accusations of a Rs. 50-crore bribe were made by Congress leader Komatireddy Venkata Reddy. KTR also pointed out that Komatireddy failed to provide clarification on the alleged bribe and recommended sending defamation notices directly to Komatireddy Venkata Reddy rather than to him.

Meanwhile, Manickam Tagore posted on 'X' that KTR had to appear in the Madurai court along with BRS leaders Kaushik Reddy and Sudheer Reddy. The duo, BRS leaders Kaushik Reddy and Sudheer Reddy, had already been summoned to appear in the Madurai court earlier that month in a defamation case.
