HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president and Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) has slammed the Congress party saying that the Bus Yatra flagged off by Rahul Gandhi will fail as the people don't believe them.

Continuing his tirade on Congress leaders, KTR on Thursday highlighted various issues about the Congress and BJP and stated that the two parties wey spewing venom on the Telangana state and creating hurdles to the existence of the state. KTR lashed out at Rahul Gandhi questioning him as to why the latter had not responded to the unfulfilled promises made by the Andhra Pradesh Bifurcation Act in the last 10 years and also raised doubts over Rahul Gandhi shedding crocodile tears regarding Tribal University after 10 years. He said Rahul Gandhi had no right to visit Telangana.

KTR also raised the issue of failure of the Congress government in Karnataka and alleged that the Karnataka government had not yet fulfilled the election promises and deceived the people and asserted that the BRS government had no such history and would deliver what it said in the manifesto.

He said while the Telangana government was providing a 24-hour free power supply and extending a helping hand in agriculture, the Karnataka government was only giving five hours of power thus creating problems for the farmers. The minister accused the Congress party of resorting to corruption and harassing the contractors in the name of the commission. Further, KTR said that it was the BRS government that distributed the Podu lands to the tribals when the Congress could not do it

Responding to Revanth Reddy's issue, KTR said that the Congress had stooped too low by handing over the Congress steering to ‘Godse’ and alleged that the former was involved in various scams and was a blackmailer. Stating that the BRS party would rule from Telangana and the Congress from Delhi, KTR said that there would be no response from the people no matter how many days Rahul Gandhi would participate in the bus yatra.
