NARSAMPET: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has said that the Congress didn't provide water to Telangana despite the Krishna and Godavari rivers flowing in the State. Addressing a BRS meeting in Narsampet on Monday, KCR said that he kept his promise of providing water to all households in Telangana through Mission Bhagiratha within five years of coming to power. He added that all the BRS' MLAs were similarly committed to developing the State.

Expressing confidence that Narsampet MLA Sudarshan Reddy would again be voted to power, KCR said, "Godavari-Pakhal, a 68-year old demand came into reality only due to the efforts of MLA Sudharshan Reddy. With this project, Pakhal Lake can irrigate two crops instead of one. Earlier, in Yasangi, only 30 to 35 thousand acres of land was irrigated. But now, 1.35 lakh of acres is being irrigated."

Taking a jibe at YSRTP president YS Sharmila, KCR asked voters, "Narsampet people protested against those leaders who wished for united Andhra Pradesh. Will they choose a leader who come with suitcases and distribute money at the time of elections or will they vote for Sudarshan Reddy who stays in Narsampet and work for the welfare of people?"

Without naming Yogi Adityanath, KCR said that a Chief Minister would come from Uttar Pradesh for campaigning for the BJP bu he himself hasn't provided water to all the people in his State despite the Ganga river flowing through it.

"Despite loss to the exchequer, we are purchasing crops by setting up 7,500 procurement centres in the State," he said.

Questioning Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Revanth Reddy for his comments about electricity in the State, KCR asked, "Congress leaders are saying that farmers should use 10 hp motor to irrigate their lands. But most of the farmers use either 3 hp or 5 hp motors. Who will give 10 hp motors to the farmers? Who will stand for the welfare of farmers? Who will develop the State in all the aspects?"

KCR concluded that Telangana would become the top supplier of food grains for the whole country and that 10,000 doctors would graduate from the State from next year if the BRS was voted to power again.
