HYDERABAD: Blowing the Congress party’s campaign bugle on Sunday from a massive public meeting at sprawling grounds specially christened after Rajiv Gandhi at Tukkuguda in Hyderabad, making an emphatic statement that it was dream to see a Congress Government in Telangana.

While making a fervent pitch for electing a Congress government in the State, Sonia Gandhi said that the party was announcing six guarantees to the people of Telangana.

She assured the people that the party would ensure that all the six guarantees would surely be implemented at any cost.

Sonia Gandhi announced Mahalakshmi Yojana consisting of Rs.2,500 to all women in Telangana, has cylinder at Rs.500 and free bus travel for all females.

Congress president Mallikarjuna Kharge announced “Rythu Bharosa” which consists of Rs.15,000 per acre to every gamer. It also envisages Rs.12,000 each to every tenant farmer and farm labourer.

Earlier, Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Sukhvinder Singh Sukku announced a guarantee on behalf of the party on Welfare. This comprised Rs 4,000 pensions for eligible persons and Rs.10 lakh medical insurance all the people of Telangana.

Rahul Gandhi announced all the six guarantees would be implemented by the Congress on the day it comes to power in Telangana.

Indiramma Housing: Rs 5 lakh for homeless poor, 250 sq yards house site for Telangana agitators

Mahalakshmi: Rs 2,500 to every woman, Rs.500 per cylinder, free bus travel for women

Gruha Jyothi: Free power for all up to 200 units

YuvaVikasam: College assistance Rs.5,00,000 for coaching fee

Monthly pension: Rs 4,000 for Old aged people and Rs 10,00,000 health insurance

Rythu Bharosa: Rs.15,000 per acre for farmers; Rs.12,000 for farm labourers and tenant farmers.
