HYDERABAD: Minister for IT and BRS working president KT Rama Rao says that the Rs 500 per square feet political election tax imposed and collected from Bengaluru builders in Karnataka is to fund elections in Telangana.
The BRS leader taking to X on Saturday pointed out that the newly elected Congress Government in the neighbouring State of Karnataka started the good old technique of extortion following its legacy, to fund elections in Telangana.
“Apparently Karnataka’s newly elected Congress Government has started levying a “political election tax” of Rs 500 per square feet to Bengaluru builders to fund Telangana Congress. Old habits die hard. The ‘Grand Old Party’ and its rich legacy of scams is legendary and that’s why it’s been rechristened Scamgress, KTR said.
Calling upon the voters to say no to the Congress in Telangana pointed out that no matter how much money Congress pump, the people of Telangana could not be fooled, KTR said.
