Congress will transform Pragati Bhavan into Dr. Ambedkar Centre: Revanth Reddy

HYDERABAD: TPCC President Revanth Reddy announced on Friday that Rs 15 lakhs from his MP funds would be allocated for the construction of an Ambedkar Bhawan in Shamirpet to commemorate Dr. BR Ambedkar Jayanti.

"We will provide appropriate support to the weaker sections and carry Ambedkar's spirit forward in the upcoming general elections," Revanth Reddy said on the 133rd anniversary of Dr. BR Ambedkar's birth in Shamirpet.

He went on to say that the two main reasons for the country's identity globally were Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. B R Ambedkar. Telangana should be developed with Ambedkar's spirit, he said.

The Congress Party, with Ambedkar's inspiration, opened several avenues for Dalits, he pointed out. The Congress gave several Dalits the opportunity to serve as President, Speaker of the Lok Sabha, and Chief Ministers. He added that the Congress would continue to thrive on Ambedkar's spirit in the future.

"Rs 15 lakhs will be sanctioned from my MP's funds for Ambedkar Bhavan in Shamirpet," Revanth Reddy stated.

"I will donate to the Ambedkar building's construction. We are committed to transforming Pragati Bhavan into the Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Science Centre," he added.
