HYDERABAD: Soon after taking oath as the Chief Minister of Telangana, TPCC president A Revanth Reddy had fulfilled his promise and provided employment to disabled woman Thumari Rajini in the newly formed Congress Government.

As promised during the election campaign, Revanth Reddy handed over the appointment letter to Rajini on Thursday besides signing on the implementation of six guarantees by the Congress at LB Stadium. Rajini was given a contract job in the Agriculture and Co-operation department. She was posted as Project Manager of Telangana State Seed and Organic Certification Agency (TSSOCA) with a monthly salary of Rs 50,000.

During the election campaign, Rajini met Revanth Reddy at Gandhi Bhavan and told her about her problem of not securing a job even after completing her post-graduation. Revanth Reddy who was concerned over the woman's plight assured her that she would be given a job after the Congress party voted with power in the Assembly elections. As promised, Revanth Reddy gave a job to Rajini soon after he was sworn-in as the Chief Minister.

The 38-year-old Rajini is a resident of Nampally in Hyderabad. Her father Venkataswamy and other family members were overjoyed as she got her first job in the newly formed Government. However, it remains to be noted whether Rajini's job would be regularised in the future.
