Document forgery: Man sets himself on fire at Peddapalli collectorate

PEDDAPALLI: A man attempted suicide in front of the district collectorate in Peddapalli district alleging that his land documents were forged.

According to reports, Ramachandra Rao, belonging to Bolta Vanaparthi of Dharmaram mandal in Peddapalli district, was having disputes with his brother over a piece of land. Alleging that his land documents were forged, Rao went to the Peddapalli district collectorate to meet officials to file a complaint.

As there was no response from the officials, Rao set himself ablaze in a self-immolation attempt. With severe burn injuries, he was taken to the government hospital and his condition was said to be critical.
