Dr Preeti suicide: victim’s parents agree to cooperate with investigation

WARANGAL: Kakatiya Medical College student Dr. Preeti Naik's parents agreed to cooperate with the investigation and accepted that it was a suicide rather than a murder.
Dr. Preeti's father, D Narender, told the media on Saturday that he had full faith in the police investigation after speaking with Warangal Police Commissioner AV Ranganath.
He further stated that he asked AV Ranganath about the details of the post-mortem report, and that he was informed that the case would be investigated transparently. Narender said that he urged the Commissioner to take action to ensure that the offender received severe punishment.
He also told reporters that the police confirmed Preeti's suicide based on a post-mortem report. He stated that the police also showed him some evidence in this regard which was a crucial part in this case. "AV Ranganath stated that a charge-sheet will be filed soon," Preeti's father Narender told the media.
Dr. Preethi of KMC, Warangal, died after taking a poisonous injection, according to the 6 report, said Warangal Police Commissioner AV Ranganath on Friday. He said that the charge-sheet would be filed within a week or 10 days.
