HYDERABAD: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka's wife Nandini has organised a huge rally comprising of 500 cars in Khammam to submit her application for the Lok Sabha constituency on behalf of the Congress on Saturday.

The deadline for submission of applications for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections for the Congress ends on Saturday. So far, 140 applications have been filed for the 17 Lok Sabha seats.

There is fierce competition for the Khammam Parliament seat. Seniors Congress leaders and family members of key leaders have applied for a ticket. Apart from Nandini, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy's brother Ponguleti Prasad Reddy, Tummala Nageswara Rao's son Tummala Yugender, former Union Minister Renuka Chaudhary and former MP V Hanumantha Rao have applied for a ticket from the constituency.

Speaking ahead of submitting her application, Nandini said that her goal was to see Rahul Gandhi become the Prime Minister. She also said that she would like to Sonia or Priyanka Gandhi contest from Khammam and would contest for the seat if given an opportunity by the party.
