Five feared killed in a mishap at the My Home Cement Industries in Mellacheruvu

SURYAPET: At least five contract workers feared killed when the makeshift elevator they were using collapsed at the My Home Cement Industries in Mellacheruvu of Suryapet district on Tuesday. According to the reports, all the deceased workers belonged to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar states.

According to sources, the workers were involved in concrete works of unit-4 at a height of 500 feet when the mishap occurred. The lift they were standing collapsed and fell down to the ground. While five workers were reported killed an unknown number of workers were also hurt in the incident.
