HYDERABAD: In a politically interesting development, four MLAs belonging to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi have called on Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy at his residence.

All the four MLAs — Sunitha Laxma Reddy from Narsapur, Kotha Prabahakar Reddy of Dubbaka, Gudem Mahipal Reddy of Pathancheru and Manik Rao from Zaheerabad Assembly constituencies — all from the erstwhile Medak district went and met the Chief Minister on Tuesday evening.

It is perhaps the first time that a delegation of elected representatives called on Revanth Reddy in a group.

Though not much could be read between the lines on the reasons behind their meeting the Chief Minister, it indeed raised many an eyebrow.

However, later in the evening Gudem Mahipal Resdy said that their meeting was to represent the protocol problems they were facing in their constituencies. He likened their meeting the Chief Minister with Revanth Reddy’s meeting with Prime Ministers Narendra Modi. “We discussed development programmes due to our constituencies. Under the leadership of KCR, the BRS would hoist the pink flag in Medak Lok Sabha seat in the upcoming Parliament elections,” he said. He clarified that nobody needed to read too much between the lines in their meeting.

Revanth Reddy was “cordial” to them. The legislators or the party have not issued any statement regarding the significance of the meeting or the legislators with the Chief Minister. Though the pictures and names of the MLAs with Revanth Reddy were officially released by the Chief Minister’s Office, there was no official release on the details of the meeting as yet.
