#GiftASmile: Innovative birthday wishes pour in as KTR turns 47

HYDERABAD: In consonance with State IT Minister and the BRS Working President KT Rama Rao’s wish that his birthday must be celebrated in a way that brings a big smile to the faces of the beneficiary, several innovative programmes were conducted by his fans and party workers across the State on Monday.

At the Osmania University campus, Bharat Rashtra Samithi Vidyarthi (BRSV), distributed free competitive examination books to poor students enrolled in the University. BRSV State general secretary Ramesh Goud organised the book distribution programme.

At Thrill City, Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali and Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav distributed health insurance cards with Rs 10 lakh individual risk coverage benefits to video journalists. A special video on KTR made in 3D was exhibited on the biggest screen at the theme park.

Alishetty Aravind, of the BRS, wished KTR a very happy birthday in a unique and innovative way. He celebrated the occasion by displaying KTR's achievements on a 12ft high and 45ft wide bus. On both sides of the bus, he showcased various accomplishments, including the T- Hub, Durgam Cheruvu Flyover, T- Works, and numerous other development projects constructed in the city.

Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy handed over cricket kits to Bheema Cricket Club and felicitated meritorious students of Amruta Jr College and Unique Academy.

Actor Ali, celebrated KTR’s birthday by planting a sapling at Saradhi Studios in Amirpet taking to Green India Challenge. He named actors Srikanth, Uttej and Uma to take up the challenge.

Twitter was abuzz with greetings to KTR. Many celebrities including Superstar Mahesh Babu, several other film personalities and celebrities greeted KTR. Many enthusiasts also tweeted their charity activities marking KTR’s birthday as part of #GiftASmile.
