HYDERABAD: Half of the Medigadda project will have to be demolished since KCR has compromised the Kaleshwaram project by looting crores, said TPCC president Revanth Reddy on Thursday.

Revanth Reddy alleged that KCR's corruption has led to the sinking of the Medigadda barrage, and Telangana's people were demanding punishment for his actions.

Revanth Reddy addressed the media after bidding farewell to Rahul Gandhi at the Shamshabad Airport, where he was leaving for Delhi after a three-day visit to Telangana. He said that no matter how corrupt BRS was, the BJP would defend it.

He said corrupt practises of these two parties had a significant impact on the barrages built as part of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme. He said that KCR was earlier known as Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao, but now people call him Kaleshwaram Corruption Rao.

The poor construction of the project resulted in the waste of crores of public money, he added. He said that the Medigadda project's pillars had sunk due to a lack of proper precautions.

He demanded to put the L&T company, which built the project, on the blacklist. He also demanded to file criminal cases against the concerned engineers.

Revanth Reddy said that it was clear to BRS that Sabitha Indra Reddy would lose in Maheshwaram, due to which KCR launched IT attacks on Congress leaders with the help of the Centre.

Revanth Reddy asserted that despite numerous conspiracies, the people of Telangana would revolt against the KCR and dethrone the KCR.
