HANAMKONDA: The Hanamkonda Court dismissed the prosecution's plea for the cancellation of bail given to BJP MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar in the SSC question paper leak case on Thursday.

Hanamkonda special public prosecutor (PP) Mokila Satyanarayana Goud, who presented arguments on behalf of the government, brought to the Bench's attention that Bandi Sanjay was violating his bail conditions and was refusing to cooperate with the SSC paper-leak investigation, so they filed a petition seeking the cancellation of his bail. Bandi Sanjay's counsel, on the other hand, contended that there was no reason for cancelling the bail.

Hanamkonda Magistrate Court judge Matta Saritha, who had postponed Bandi Sanjay Kumar's bail cancellation plea till April 27, declined to concede with the prosecution's bail petition on Thursday.

Bandi Sanjay Kumar, a Lok Sabha member from Karimnagar constituency, was named as the prime accused in the case relating to the alleged circulation of Class 10 (SSC) Hindi examination question paper in groups of an instant messaging app. He was arrested by the Warangal Police on April 5 on charges of criminal conspiracy and malpractices, among others.

Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar was granted bail in the SSC question paper leak case on April 7 by a magistrate court in Hanamkonda on the condition of a Rs 20,000 guarantee.
