SANGAREDDY: Former Minister T Harish Rao wanted to know whether Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is ready to resign if he fails to implement the Rs 39,000 crore crop loan waiver for the farmers.

Addressing media at Kondapur after the party senior cadre meeting here on Monday, he wondered how the Chief Minister could promise crop loan waiver while he had not completely released the Rytu Bandhu financial assistance to the farmers.

“The promises made by Congress will prove to be their nemesis in the Lok Sabha elections. Revanth Reddy is asking us reasons to defeat him. I give him a hundred,” he said. Defeat Congress for not implementing crop loan waiver, Rytu Bandhu, Rs 500 bonus, enhanced Asara pensions, Rs 2,500 financial assistance for women, one tola gold under Kalyana Lakshmi, and unemployment dole for youth, Harish Rao added.

“Revanth is a synonym for lies and Congress means power cuts. Revanth Reddy is trying to blackmail people that if they won't vote for the Congress the welfare schemes will be discontinued. What welfare schemes hs is talking about? Even Congress leaders like Motkupalli and Hanumanth Rao were unable to get an audience with Revanth Reddy,” Harish Rao pointed out.

The senior BRS leader said that farmers' suicides began after Revanth Reddy took over the reins from the BRS Government. He said that people had decided to defeat the Congress in 2024 and not even relegated to opposition status in 2014 and 2029
