SIDDIPET: Telangana Minister for Health and Finance T Harish Rao has launched a scathing attack on the Congress for carrying out fake pre-poll surveys and social media campaigns, instead of announcing their candidates even though the election schedule has been announced.

Harish Rao accompanied by planning commission vice chairman Vinod Kumar and MLA Satish Babu on Tuesday inspected the grounds in Husnabad for Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) to kickstart his election campaign on October 15, 2023.

Harish Rao said that it's almost 50 days since the BRS had announced its list of candidates for the Assembly elections. "Why is the Congress dilly-dallying to announce its list of candidates in Telangana? They are still negotiating with their leaders in Delhi which shows how committed they are towards Telangana," he said.

Informing KCR's poll tryst with Husnabad, Harish Rao said that Husnabad holds a special place in KCR's heart as he first addresses a rally here and then proceeds to other constituencies to campaign in the State during elections. KCR would announce the BRS manifesto in the morning and later participate in a public meeting in Husnabad, which would send shockwaves in the mind of the opposition, he said.

Harish Rao said that KCR is the only Chief Minister who fulfilled the promises made ahead of the elections in 2014 and 2018. "Telangana is progressing at a brisk pace under the leadership of KCR. Several schemes being implemented in the State are being replicated in other States which is a testament of his dedication towards peoples' welfare. People should think wisely and bless the BRS to come to power once again in Telangana considering the benefits accrued to them during the BRS rule," he said.
