Harish Rao slams opposition, says scrapping Dharani portal will lead to corruption

SANGAREDDY: Telangana Finance and Health Minister Harish Rao on Monday rubbished the allegations on the Dharani portal, claiming that doing away with the portal would only lead to bribery and corruption.

The Minister is on a tour of Sangareddy district on Monday to participate in various programmes including the distribution of land rights documents to beneficiaries under GO 58 and 59 at the District Collectorate.

Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao slammed the opposition for levelling false allegations against the Dharani portal. He claimed that there was no scope for corruption with Dharani in the registration of lands while claiming that transparency could be maintained during the selling and buying of lands.

The senior BRS leader also said that land rights were given to 833 people under GO 58 and 471 people under GO 59. He said that the process of assigning all rights on the lands to the beneficiaries would be carried out online transparently.

Later, the Minister participated in the Telangana Haritha Haram programme organised at Sangareddy Collectorate to mark the International Women's Day on March 8. On this occasion, the Minister showered praises on the Sangareddy Collector for bagging a couple of awards and appreciated him for conducting the Haritha Haram successfully. He said that the forest area had increased by seven percent in the state.
