HYDERABAD: Huge crowds thronged to Prajavani, a weekly programme citizen grievances redressal programme by the Telangana Government, on Friday.

Though the programme at the Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Praja Bhavan in Greenlands was scheduled to be held from 10 am to 1 pm, crowds started gathering from as early as 6 am. Most of the applicants hailed from different districts and queues stretched for over half-a-kilometer. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy started the Prajavani programme on December 8, shortly after taking charge.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, who resides in Praja Bhavan, received applications from citizens and later left for the Assembly.

The heavy rush at Praja Bhavan affected peak hour traffic in Begumpet, Panjagutta and Banjara Hills. The situation prompted the Hyderabad Traffic Police to issue traffic advisories.

“Due to heavy flow of visitors to Praja Vaani (Praja Darbar), movement of vehicles is slow from GVK One, Vengal Rao Park, NFCL, Panjagutta X Roads, Somajiguda Circle towards Praja Darbar. Panjagutta Traffic police are available and regulating traffic…” the Traffic Police shared on X.
