SEOUL: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu met with Hyundai Motor Company officials in Seoul on Monday.

During the meeting, Revanth Reddy highlighted the Telangana government's focus on attracting investment from global giants. He emphasised the state's industry-friendly policies, progressive vision, world-class infrastructure, and hassle-free permission system, attracting companies like Hyundai Motor India Engineering Pvt Ltd. (HMIE).

Following the meeting, Hyundai, through HMIE, announced plans to establish a sizeable mega test centre in Telangana. The centre will feature an automotive test track facility and a state-of-the-art test car manufacturing facility, including electric vehicles (EVs).

The mega test centre is expected to attract other affiliates and suppliers, creating direct and indirect employment opportunities.

Furthermore, HMIE is expanding its existing engineering centre in Hyderabad to create more employment opportunities in India and the Asia Pacific region.

HMIE expressed gratitude to Revanth Reddy for the opportunity to develop state-of-the-art testing facilities, underscoring their commitment to India and the Chief Minister's vision for a sustainable future for Telangana.
