JAGTIAL: Pawan Kalyan on Tuesday expressed his dream to see at least 10 MLAs of the Jana Sena in the Telangana Assembly after next elections.

Addressing a meeting of the party’s Telangana executives in Nachupally following the Varahi rituals at the Kondagattu temple in Jagtial, the Jana Sena president spelt out his grand electoral plan for Telangana. His assertion came even as he continues to be clueless about how many seats to contest and who all to tie up with in Andhra Pradesh.

During an earlier interaction at the Kondagattu temple, the Jana Sena president vouched for a limited-scale contest in Telangana, stating that his party was still at a nascent stage with little strength.

But an hour later and much to the delight of his supporters, he announced that Jana Sena was ready to contest for 25 to 30 Assembly seats and 7 to 14 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana in the next elections. In a possible outreach to potential alliance partners, he also boasted of Jana Sena’s impact in many other constituencies as well.

Pawan Kalyan however ruled out an electoral alliance with the BJP but said that the national party would always enjoy his support in Telangana. In the same breath, his party would be open to alliances with like-minded parties if they evinced interest. He also cheered up his cadre saying that he would tour around Telangana at the time of elections.

KCR rule is better than the one in AP

Earlier, during his interaction with the media at Kondagattu temple, Pawan Kalyan said that the governance of K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) was far better in comparison with the one in Andhra Pradesh. He however maintained that the scenarios in the two Telugu states were incomparable due to the diverse nature of issues. He said that, in Andhra Pradesh, one had to indulge in caste-centric politics, which, he felt, was very difficult.
