Jubilee Hills Public School donates Rs 1.5 crore to setup digital classrooms in Telangana Government schools

HYDERABAD: In a commendable display of social responsibility, the Jubilee Hills Public School has donated over Rs 1.5 crore of its funds for boosting digital infrastructure in government schools in Telangana as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

In one of the recent initiatives, the school donated Rs 50 lakh for setting up a computer lab with 21 systems along with eight digital panel boards for Government Girls High School in Siddipet from its CSR funds.

BRS Siddipet MLA and former Minister Harish Rao inaugurated the computer lab and spent time with the students on Wednesday.

Speaking during the inauguration, Harish said that computers had become an essential part of human life and that the facility was setup in the school to help students gain knowledge of computers early in their life.

Harish Rao also asked the students to focus on their studies and asked children in Class X to ensure that Siddipet district stood on top for the upcoming boards.

For more than 15 years, the Jubilee Hills Public School had been donated benches, desks, computer

peripherals, desktops etc to improve the educational infrastructure in government and zilla parishad schools.

The school had previously donated its CSR funds to Balavikas Educational Society, Hindu Elementary School-Nandigama Village in Guntur, Government High School in Medak, zilla parishad high schools in Pedakurapadu and Nalgonda and Geetanjali Model School in Jubilee Hills.

Apart from the school in Siddipet, the Jubilee Hills Public School has also donated its CSR funds of Rs 50 lakh each to aid schools in Gajwel and Sircilla which would be used for setting up digital classrooms soon.
