HYDERABAD: As part of his visit to the flood-affected areas, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao visited the Godavari river at Bhadrachalam after offering prayers to the river. KCR visited the flood victims there and enquired about their health conditions and well-being. The Chief Minister enquired about the essential items, facilities, medical and other assistance being provided to the victims. The victims explained to him that they were receiving all kinds of help and cooperation and that the local minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar and the government officials were looking after them.

The residents of Bhadrachalam were shocked to see KCR who came to visit them despite the heavy rains and floods. KCR said that it is sad that every time there was a flood in Bhadrachalam, the town here got submerged.

He decided to build colonies for them on a permanent basis to overcome the flood situation every time. KCR directed Collector Anudeep to identify suitable places in flood-proof high places, collect complete information about the victims, and take up construction. The victims in the rehabilitation centres expressed joy as they were getting relief permanently.
