SIRCILLA: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao has said that the 17-day Poru Baata Bus Yatra, undertaken by party president K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) was a game changer placing the BRS ahead of the Congress and the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections in Telangana.

KTR addressed the media in Sircilla on Tuesday after reviewing the trends in the Karimnagar Parliamentary Constituency with local leaders.

“KCR bus yatra forced two national parties to renew their efforts. He visited 30 places from Adilabad to Alampur in 17 days. Reimposed confidence in cadre that has faced defeat in the recent Assembly elections,” KTR observed.

He said that the proposed scrapping of new districts created by KCR, efforts to erase KCR’s identity, and failure to implement six guarantees, particularly the crop loan waiver, hurt Congress the most.

“People didn’t believe Revanth Reddy’s promises. Farmers felt that KCR was better for them. Women too were angry and the old felt cheated,” KTR pointed out.

The BRS working president said that BRS Candidates would win more sets than the two national parties. “Out of the 17 candidates we allocated 50 percent to BCs, selected strong candidates. Whereas the BJP and the Congress fielded parachute leaders. Revanth challenged us to win one seat, we are going to win more than the Congress and the BJP. We will be the single largest party,” KTR said.

He said that the BRS gave a keen fight in all 17 Constituencies. “The Congress and the BJP do ‘Delhi me kusti galli me dosti’. The Congress fielded dummy candidates in Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Secunderabad, and Malkajgiri to help the BJP win,” he observed.

He reiterated that the NDA and the INDIA block won't get a clear-cut majority and regional parties like the BRS, YSRCP, and Biju Janata Dal would have a fair chance to lead the country. He added that the people of Telangana understood that only BRS would protect them and the State.

Thanking the cadre for their hard work, KTR said that the work done now laid the foundation for the local body, ZP, mandal, sarpanch, and councilor elections
