KCR Medak visit: Police stop bike rally of Congress, activists taken into custody

MEDAK: Several leaders of Medak District Congress Committee were taken into custody by police on Wednesday when they tried to take out a bike rally in protest of the visit of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) to the town.

The Chief Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the Integrated District Offices Complex, District Police Office and BRS district headquarters during his visit.

DCC President Kanthareddy Tirupathi Reddy gave a call to the party cadre to stop the Chief Minister’s convoy to protest against the failure of the inability of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Government to open the defunct Nizam Sugar factory. Meanwhile the Telugu Deam Party’s Medak unit demanded Rs 100 crore special fund for the development of Medak town.
