KCR nominates Kyama Mallesh for Bhuvanagiri, and Kancharla Krishna Reddy for Nalgonda, all except Hyderabad declared

HYDERABAD: BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao declared two more names taking the total number of candidates nominated for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections to 16.

Following the nomination of Thigulla Padma Rao Goud for the Secunderabad seat on Saturday, he declared the names of Kyama Mallesh for Bhuvanagiri and Kancharla Krishna Reddy for Nalgonda.

Barring Hyderabad Parliamentary Constituency, KCR declared the names of 16 candidates including:

3.B. Vinod Kumar (Karimnagar)

4.Koppula Eswar (Peddapalli SC)

5. Manne Srinivas Reddy (Mahabubnagar)

7. Dr. Kadiyam Kavya (Warangal SC)

8. Bajireddy Govardhan (Nizamabad)

9. Gali Anil Kumar (Zaheerabad)

10. Atram Sakku (Adilabad SC)

11. Ragidi Laxma Reddy (Malkajgiri)

12. P Venkatrami Reddy (Medak)

13. RS Praveen Kumar (Nagarkurnool SC)

14. Thigulla Padma Rao Goud (Secunderabad)

15. Kyama Mallesh (Bhuvanagiri)

16. Kancharla Krishna Reddy (Nalgonda)

Turn Coats

On March 19, the central election committee (CEC) of the AICC declared eight names for Telangana out of which Dr Ranjith Reddy (Chevella), and Danam Nagender (Secunderabad) defected from the BRS.

Gali Anil Kumar who has quit the Congress was accommodated by the BRS as its candidate from Zaheerabad.

Ragidi Laxma Reddy, who quit the Congress after he failed to get that party’s ticket from Uppal in the Assembly elections, joined the BRS last October

Four out of six candidates who got the BJP tickets defected to the BJP from Congress and BRS. While Gomasa Srinivas defected from the Congress, Nagesh, Ajmera Seetharam Naik and Saidi Reddy defected from the BRS.

BRS MLAs in the fray

In all three BRS MLAs are nominated for the Lok Sabha election by the BRS. Thigulla Padma Rao Goud who is currently an MLA representing Secunderabad Assembly Constituency, Danam Nagender is representing Khairatabad Assembly Constituency, Baji Reddy Govardhan of Nizamabad Rural Assembly Constituency,

KCR nominated former IAS officer and BRS MLC P. Venkatram Reddy from Medak.

RS Praveen Kumar is a former IPS officer roped in by the BRS and is nominated for the Nagarkurnool seat.
